Spring Street Bar Announces Return of Spring Wing Fest

Spring Street Bar & Grill is bringing back Spring Wing Fest on Saturday, June 14, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The family-friendly, outdoor, neighborhood festival will feature a hot wing eating contest, live music, children's activities, face-painting, outdoor games, and a variety of food and drink from Spring Street's regular menu.

Spring Street's parking lot will be closed and transformed in order to host the event. The interior of Spring Street's bar and restaurant space will remain open for business.

A schedule of the day's activities is below:

    2 p.m.-8 p.m.                Family-Friendly Activities & Outdoor Games

    2 p.m.-4 p.m.                DJ Matt Anthony

    4 p.m.-5 p.m.                Hot Wing Eating Contest

    6 p.m.-8 p.m.                School of Rock

A portion of the proceeds from Spring Wing Fest will benefit Apron, Inc., a local 501(c)(3) who provides temporary, limited financial relief to professional food and beverage workers in the Louisville, KY metro area who work at locally-owned establishments and who are experiencing financial distress due to illness, accident, emergency, or catastrophic event through no fault of their own.

And in case you were wondering, yes, this is the same contest that melted me down last year. (And no, I am not participating this year.)
