High Horse Bar Set to Reopen June 20 in NuLu

High Horse Bar announced its plans to relocate to NuLu in October, and after months of renovations High Horse will officially reopen at 810 E. Market Street on Friday, June 20 at 2 p.m.

Co-owners Dennie Humphrey and Brian Goodwin, along with partner James Wise, secured the NuLu location, which was previously home to Gray Market Design and the Dreamland music venue. The new space offers a comparable size to the original bar space at their Butchertown location, but will shift focus away from live music to emphasize a bar-centric atmosphere.

"We’re excited to open our doors in NuLu,” Humphrey said. “It feels like the perfect home for High Horse. This new chapter lets us keep everything people loved about the original bar while bringing something different to the NuLu neighborhood. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back.”

The decision to move comes after five successful years on Story Avenue and stems from irreconcilable differences with the previous landlord. Despite the location change, High Horse Bar remains committed to preserving the spirit and community that patrons have come to cherish.

High Horse Bar is a community-driven establishment known for its eclectic, 1970s-themed vibe and commitment to providing a welcoming space for all.
